Smite

Smite is the jungler's spell that deals direct damage to monsters and helps secure them.

In a Baron contest, its timing combines with allied damage and vision into the pit.

Not every steal is simply a missed Smite: simultaneous damage, poor vision or a badly prepared fight also matter.
