A debuff is a negative effect on a unit, such as a slow, stat reduction or damage over time.

Some debuffs limit movement while others weaken fighting ability without immobilizing. Duration matters as much as strength.

Check the exact effect before spending a defensive tool: not every tool clears the same conditions.
