Meta

The meta is the set of picks and strategies a player community considers effective at a given time.

It changes with patches, discoveries and level of play. Pro SoloQ meta may differ from average ranked games.

Following the meta helps explain a common pick, but an unfashionable champion may still suit a specific situation.
