One-shot

A one-shot is an almost instant takedown with one ability or a very short combination.

The phrase does not always mean one literal hit: players also use it for a combo that leaves little chance to respond.

Avoiding it depends on spotting the engage, saving defenses and not walking blind into burst damage.
