Stat check

A stat check is a matchup whose outcome depends heavily on available stats and resources rather than a hard-to-dodge sequence.

A champion with more levels, items or resistances may win even when both players execute their plans correctly.

The answer often comes before the fight: avoid the direct duel, bring allies or look for a missing-ability window.
