Fog of war

Fog of war hides parts of the map that your team cannot currently see.

A missing opponent may be at base, at another camp or waiting to ambush. Lack of information is itself part of the decision.

Before crossing river for an objective, checking wards and visible opponents often matters more than arriving first.
